i'm giving this idea to the world

ok, so there's this artical about the harm End User License Agreements do (Boing Boing: Clickthrough licenses considered harmful) and something occurred to me - why doesn't someone create an online service where people can lookup the layman's summary of various submitted EULA's... obviously there will need to be a community effort to translate these things into human readable text (because of course lawyers aren't human) but i think it could work and i think it could place real pressure on companies to come up with more reasonable EULA's (because if people really knew what they said they probably wouldn't be so quick to agree) and more readable EULA's (because what company is going to trust outsiders to come up with fair and unbiased translations of their EULA's?)....

ok, so - i like to laugh... i like it a lot... i figure probably other people do too... i've taken to reading a number of comics online (thank the RSS gods) and this one is fast becoming one of my favourites...

y'know, at one time aliens might have actually been trying to communicate with us using crop circles... probably not now, though... Surface to Air's Hello Kitty Crop circle probably proves we're just a bunch of babbling idiots to them...

did i mention i like robots? i think i did... maybe more than once even... well, here's some nifty video of an 8 legged robot... i know, i know, like a robot spider - but for some reason they like to call it a scorpion... i didn't see a tail or stinger or any pincers or anything like that but they called it a scorpion... maybe it's just a platform that they hope to attach a tail and pincers to (for doing tasks other than just walking around, of course)...

well, don't you worry, that's not what this is... it's actually just an animation inspired by some art, but it is quite nice to look at...

ok, i can see someone labelling a hearse as a bringer of dead people 'cause it's used to bring dead people to this place or that place... but a hearse as a bringer of death, that's something else entirely...
