bad british government... bad, bad, bad!

this neat, fuel efficient AeroCarbon Car isn't being classified as an energy saving vehicle in spite of the fact that it gets 100 miles per gallon? hello? is there anything between your ears? the thing uses a standard engine - all the energy saving is in the rest of the car (light weight, aerodynamic, etc)... this project is exactly what energy saving engine projects need as their operating platform in order to make them more viable... it's an engine-agnostic fuel consumption reducing chassis... imagine what a car like this could do with a fuel-cell engine, or a compressed air engine, or a conventional battery powered electric motor!... this was the missing link all those things needed!

wake up you dumb bureaucrats!

drivers should carry driver's licenses, not pilot's licenses...

y'know, i was half expecting to see another crane-type vehicle caught under some power lines, but not this car...

ha ha ha!

i needed a good laugh... i remember learning the lesson of not using words unless i was sure i knew what they meant, but i didn't learn it in quite so embarassing a way...

the state of my mind address

i have a busy mind... busy like a textile pattern with too much going on... it keeps me up at night... it pulls me in all sorts of directions, leading to ideas on all sorts of things...

it's probably ADD but i think i've adapted... my ideas aren't big unweildly behemoths with dangling tentacle-like deadends hanging off of them, they're more like sound-bytes (thought-bytes?)... i don't flesh them out unless i'm working on one i need to build and make real in some way...

as a result (i think) all my blog posts are fairly short... you won't be finding any novel-sized diatribes here...

if i had a million dollars...

if i had a million dollars i might try to keep it a secret... that is unless i won it on national tv, in which case i'm pretty sure it's not going to be secret anymore so i'd damn well report it when i file my taxes...

what a maroon...

is that a cactus in your pocket or are you just unhappy to see me...

y'know, if it weren't for my peculiar penchant for travelling light, i might actually go for one of these plants on a keychain...

ladies, what are you thinking?

so apparently there's this tomb with a statue of a guy with a little something extra in his trousers... and apparently this statue is showing some interesting wear patterns...

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

supposedly the statue has special powers to bring love and/or fertility - but y'know what? i'm sure if the ladies showed that kind of attention to guys who were alive, they wouldn't need the statue's special powers...

say what?

ok, so a part of me thinks that scratch-n-sniff panties shouldn't be such a weird idea, but another part of me realizes that yes it really is kinda weird...

may the spud be with you

hey everyone... meet Darth Tater...

quality control to consumer tom

this is not the kind of phone call you want to be on the receiving end of... if you want to hear what 'mortified' sounds like, listen to this gag... a radio personality calls up a some guy's girlfriend pretending to be a representative for some company issuing a recall order and health warning on a vibrator...

i'm a little tortoise, short and stout

y'know, i've posted a number of entries pointing to some of the remarkable design ideas that come out of japan but i think we both know the japanese aren't the only ones with great ideas... check out this danish Snail Shell System

it's basically the ultimate in mobile homes (emphasis on 'ultimate' and 'mobile' for a reason you will understand when you check out the toilet system)... it can go anywhere on water or land, uses only environmentally friendly man(or woman)power to move (well, there's gravity too, i imagine this would be a blast on a hill), and it's apparently easily extensible...
